Recently I found the love of my life.It has style, elegance, sleek curves, attractive on the outside but naught in the inside...the bottom line is its just beautiful. No matter which angle you look at it...you can just spend hours admiring it.I never knew something like this ever existed,to me it was love at first sight.Well, its not what you all think...you see not too long ago I started to become an Aston Martin fan.
Aston Martin are famous for making elegant and stylish looking cars.Yes,although British cars are never known for their reliability(unlike their annoying Japanese counterparts) but so what...Aston Martin cars are super cool.If you were to take an Aston and compare it with a Porsche...there's no doubt that the Aston will feel and look more prestigious than a Porsche, but when it comes to performance, the Aston kinda lags behind the Porsche, but yet again...so what!!!In 2004 ,Aston Martin launched its latest range of car-the DB9.The name "DB" stems from David Brown the owner of Aston Martin.

The DB9 model, which was originally designed by Ian Callum and finished by his successor Henrik Fisker. The DB9 model was to superseded the now-discontinued Aston Martin DB7(also designed by Callum) which started production in 1994.
The DB9 comes in two variants:coupe and "Volante" convertible, each with a 6.0 L 450BHP (335kW) V12 engine taken from its sister car the V12 Vanquish. The Vanquish engine produces only 10 bhp (7 kW) more and yet its double the price of a DB9. In fact, this V12 engine is why Aston Martin did not call the car the DB8(like the V8 Vantage), which could suggest that it has only eight cylinders. One report states that Aston Martin believed that this car was such a quantum leap from the Jaguar XJ-S based DB7 that it named it DB9 instead of DB8, which they thought would indicate a gradual evolution.
You just have to love this car...no matter which angle you see it,its just stunning.
The interior of this car is just as luxurious as any other super expensive car such as the Rolls Royce.
What excites me most is the way the dash board look at night.See how the Speedometer and the Tachometer lights up.Imagine driving this car at night with all your dashboard instruments lighting up like this....now that is cool. And if I were to die in a crash while driving this car at night...I wouldn't mind it at all.

BBC's premier motoring show Top Gear once raced an Aston DB9 against a TGV(train à grande vitesse or "high speed train" in French) train from Surrey to Monte Carlo, with the DB9 winning by a few minutes. During the race, presenter Jeremy Clarkson proclaimed the DB9 to be "motoring perfection". This comment was topped when a new section had to be added to the 'Cool Wall', which rates cars from 'Seriously Uncool' to 'Sub-Zero'. A fridge was added for the DB9 as it was thought to be cooler than any other car on the wall. Since then, the DB9 has been joined in the "fridge" by the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
And once in a while some testosterone-egoistic-crazy Jap will come up with this idea to tune or in hockien "Zheng" this beautiful looking car into some kind of Japanese Ultraman looking monster...like this:
Come to think about it...it must be our Dasar Pandang Ke Timur that made most of our Malaysian youths today car tuning crazy. We must serap all these nilai-nilai murni from the east wat. Kancil with turbo (SOUND),Kenari with Xenon( I mean HID)lights,Proton with spoiler which are sometimes BIGGER THAN THE CAR IT SELF!!!These people obviously haven't been paying attention in the physics class.Haven't you heard of Bernoulli's Principe??Aerodynamic?Ringing any bells??If you put a Titanic-like-size-spoiler at the back of your puny low powered local made car,its not going to provide you any grip at all.Its going to either cause your car to create too much wind resistance and you won't move forwards or you'll create too much air turbulence and cause a mighty vortex of deadly spinning air and kill the unfortunate driver behind you.Sometimes, these smart Alec even fix the spoiler the wrong way round so instead of giving you down force,it gives you DAYA JULANGAN.Well done,Malaysia Boleh!!Boleh apa??Kereta Proton boleh fly ke Medan kut?!Its no wonder why there are so many road related deaths in our country.
Well back to the point, why I got pawned.Today as I was reading the New Straits Time's Cars,Bikes and Trucks section I came across this article about some Malaysian guy called J.P. Chin owning a DB9.Shyte.And whats worst is that he's the first Malaysian to own a DB9.KNNCCB!!!It was my dream and personal goal to be the first to own a DB9...KNN!!!Stupiak guy...its not fair...not not fair.Well,nehbermind...i'll be the first Malaysian to own a DB11(hope they do make it in the future).
